BROAD OUTLINE OF DUTIES
To effectively manage, control and improve all planned maintenance activities across the factory, ensuring that plant and equipment reliability and availability does not negatively affect the site’s ability to meet the demands of its internal and external customers. Compile annual departmental budget and monitoring (of the budget) thereof, including managing and controlling maintenance expenses.

LINE OF REPORTING AND COMMUNICATION
Responsible to:Â National Engineering Manager
Responsible for:Â Engineering Department
In Communication with:Â Supply Chain, Finance, Production, Admin, Health and Safety, Technical Department, NPD.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:Â
- Industry recognised Degree / Diploma in Maintenance Engineering in both Electrical and Mechanical maintenance or trade tested to N5/N6.
- Computer literate – MS Office, especially Excel and ERP systems
Experience:
- Experience in planned preventative maintenance, progressive maintenance techniques and continuous improvement initiatives that has direct impact on business performance.
- Experience and track record of successfully managing a team within a FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety Legislation (PSSR, LOLER, CDM, COSHH (LEV), LOTO, etc. Qualified to IOSH.
- Experience in both mechanical, electronic/automation equipment e.g., pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC’s, SCADA, etc.
- CAD experience.
- Experience of working within a food process and packaging environment.
- Root cause analysis skills.
- Knowledge of HACCP & OSHAS 18000 beneficial
- Experience at management level >5 years
- Studying towards a GCC.
