About South Bakels
We manufacture and distribute a wide range of premixes and specialised ingredients, some of which are tailor made for industrial and in-store bakeries while others are specifically developed for the Craft and Foodservice sectors.
Products are formulated to suit each market sector and South Bakels has well established sales and technical teams focusing on serving the particular needs of every customer.
Serving specific customer needs does not stop at product development and technical support. Packaging (from small packs to tanks) and equipment to support product application are also tailored to ensure that whatever size our customers are, whatever products they are producing, South Bakels can supply appropriate products and support. South Bakels also provides a range of application equipment for Release Agents.
Demonstration Bakeries
South Bakels has onsite Demonstration and Training bakeries where we hold demonstrations and training for a variety of different customers. These bakeries provide the perfect facility for collaborative partnerships.
The bakeries are fully equipped for a full range of demonstrations which are carried out by our team of experienced Technical Sales Support teams.

Product Innovation
Over our long history, South Bakels has been at the forefront of bringing Innovative solutions to bakers problems. From small customers trialling a range of applications, to large retail and industrial bakeries developing innovative and bespoke solutions.
South Bakels has the resources to carry out research and development for our local markets and also have the support of nominated centres of excellence within the Bakels Group who take the R&D process further and provide know-how to other companies within the group.
All this extensive R&D is coordinated by the Bakels Research company who also carry out fundamental R&D into products, raw materials and production processes. The close cooperation of local and central R&D ensures that the Bakels group of companies is truly “thinking globally – working locally.”

To be considered an official distributor you should meet the following criteria: Have a minimum of 20 000 USD working capital ; Have sales staff in place ; Have a warehouse capable of storing 2 x 40ft containers and have proven experience in the bakery and sales industry.
